William E. Simpson II is featured in the documentary "Horse of Nature" and is a naturalist living among and studying free-roaming native species of American wild horses. Simpson discusses how his town, Hornbrook, in Northern California, suffered a devastating wildfire and how wild horses provide an environmentally effective way to mitigate the dangers. Horses of Nature will screen at the 2025 American Documentary and Animation Film Festival (AmDocs) on March 30 at 1:30 p.m. The 14th annual AmDocs is March 27-31 at the Palm Springs Cultural Center. Pixar's Masha Ellsworth talks about her new film, "Bound," which is her interpretation of a Ukrainian folk song she grew up with. She also talks about watching her home during the early days of the war with Russia. Ellsworth is the lead technical director at Pixar and was a major part of the latest Pixar hit, Inside Out 2, which was the box office winner in 2024 and a nominee for Oscar as Best Animated Feature. Ellsworth also spoke about her debut film, "Little t" and some of the parallels that film had with Inside Out 2. The American Documentary and Animation Film Festival (AmDocs) will be held March 27-31 at the Palm Springs Cultural Center.
